Calathea Roseopicta is a showy plant with brilliant green variegated leaves and a bright pink underside. It is a rainforest native that thrives in humidity with indirect light and little maintenance. The plant thrives in low-light environments, and its large oval leaves are both eye-catching and effective air purifiers. It’s a beautiful accent to any room, especially if positioned at a height that enables all sides of the leaves to show.

Plant Care

Fertilizer/ feed for the plant: Feed your Calathea a nitrogen-rich fertiliser every three weeks throughout its growing season in the summer. Feed the fertiliser less often in the winter, but avoid overfertilization to avoid leaf damage.

Repotting :
When your Calathea outgrows its present container, repot it annually in rich, well-draining soil in a one-size-larger pot. Calatheas can be reproduced by dividing the main rhizome when the parent plant has grown to a suitable size and maturity. Stem cuttings can also be used to propagate it.

Typical issues

1. Why the leaves of Calathea are turning brown.

Both under-watering and over-fertilization can cause leaf browning. If this problem happens, water your plant less regularly and apply less fertiliser.

2. What is the cause of the limp stem on my Roseopicta?

Limp stems are a sign of over-watering or extremely cold conditions. Change the location of your Calathea to a warmer location and water it less regularly.

3. What is causing my Calathea roseopicta to droop?

Overwatering or exposure to cold conditions can induce leaf drooping. Make careful to adjust your watering schedule and relocate your plant to a warmer location.

Design and Decoration

Light Requirements: Calatheas prefers direct, bright sunshine. Always keep your Calathea away from direct sunshine. Calatheas are known to be erratic in their behaviour. However, with the correct quantity of water and sunlight, Calatheas may be grown successfully inside.

Location : Keep your Calathea near a window or on a shaded balcony where it will receive enough indirect light. The Calathea works well in offices, lobbies, cubicles, and meeting spaces.

Style/decor tip: A single Calathea may completely transform the style of your house. It adds complexity and colour to a basic setting. You may also combine several kinds of Calatheas to create a lovely green corner that is pleasing to the sight. For the Calathea, we propose a lighter monochromatic planter or our gold metallic planter.
